Who is Afrodyssée for?
Afrodyssée is aimed at African creators and designers working in fashion, interior design, and crafts, as well as audiences passionate about African creativity and aesthetics. Afrodyssée’s mission is to build a bridge between these creators and a Western audience.
Where is the event taking place?
In Geneva, Switzerland.
Will the event be available online or as a replay?
Some parts of the event (fashion shows, talks) are filmed and available for replay on social media. But to truly experience the festival and immerse yourself in it, there’s nothing better than attending in person.
Is Afrodyssée intended for African designers and creators who are just starting out?
"Talent doesn't wait for age." One of Afrodyssée's greatest strengths is precisely its ability to showcase new talent. Anyone can try out for our selection process.
What is your approach to sustainable development?
We conduct a thorough review of each designer we select to ensure that their production aligns with our values and that the materials used are handcrafted. Designers must adhere to a code of conduct that monitors working conditions throughout the production chain, sustainability and environmental responsibility, gender equality in the workplace, and the cultural heritage or family traditions reflected in their creations.
How can I make the most of my meetings and connections during the event?
Afrodyssée offers a wealth of opportunities to expand your network and enhance your contact list. However, you should target the audiences that best align with your expectations: a) Opening night, for the corporate world, entrepreneurship, and industry (business, finance, philanthropy) b) Fashion event, for the fashion, apparel, and retail sectors, as well as influencers, the media, stylists, and fashion consultants. c) Public day and institutional evening, featuring the international community in Geneva, international organizations, the political sphere, and the diplomatic community.
